Exactly the friendly neighborhood dive bar I needed for a low key hang with a pal. I'm not a fan of so many TVs, but with a name like The Sportsmen's Lounge I can't hold it against them at all; I get it. People like sports. Bonus points for kick-ass tacos from a truck out front.

The local dive bar for the Pruneridge area. The owner used to own Poinciana bar off of Lawrence. Also used to own for a short period Blue Max in Sunnyvale. Roccos and Ball Park are the remaining dives. Which are about 1.5 miles apart. The clientele ranges from great conversationalist to those who just want to be left alone. There's typically a Mexican food truck outside and a Chinese food restaurant that you can order and bring back into the bar. At one point there was an outside (likely due to Covid) but not really a thing anymore. Plenty of tv's, two pool tables and 3 dart boards. It's a dive bar. Not sure what else you would expect from one. But if you want a cold beer or a stiff drink you'll be happy here.

Great bar and great service. A very casual and fun time was had here with my dear friend. She had mentioned we needed to try the slushies here and they were indeed great. I met her friends as well and a nice crowd for sure. We had a couple more drinks and even played some darts, which added to a memorable time. The ambiance is what one would expect. Casual, clean, unassuming and a nice friendly place to get a drink and mingle after work or a meet up. I will add that the fried rice 2 doors down at China Delight was also a big surprise Cuz it was that good and we placed a to go order from inside the bar. A win win!

Stop in here not planned but was in the area and a sports game on a family member wanted to see. This little place may not look like much from outside but it is a great place. First , the staff is tremendous , just good people. It was crowded but as soon as bartender made eye contact , offered help. Staff just seemed to know what you needed , Like TV channel change without asking , yep very rare in any bar these days. To seeing your drink almost done and checking in on you. Pool tables , full bar , outdoor seating. Just go try it !!!! Little issue with parking , We got lucky but heck that is all we can say other than a solid 5 star !!!

This bar has catered to my needs. Especially yesterday. Yesterday may have been the greatest day I ever spent at a bar. And I have spent many of those days. I've been sickened with grief, sorrow, and filled with regret. But yesterday I walked into this place. And walked out. And it may have been the best several hours I have spent in a bar ever. And I've been in bars in other continents. I don't think I'll ever truly be able to express my gratitude for the times I have spent here. But especially yesterday. I have spent countless hours in bars. On both sides of the bar. I asked this place to take care of me. And I needed it. And they did it PERFECTLY.
